GETTING TO PLOVDIV
Plovdiv is well connected to Bulgaria’s railway network, with regular trains from Sofia, Burgas, Varna, and other major cities. All trains arrive at Plovdiv Central Railway Station, within walking distance of the city centre or a short ride by public transport.
The city offers frequent and affordable bus connections from across the country and neighbouring countries. Buses operated by various providers (Union Ivkoni, Karat-S, FlixBus, and others) arrive at South Bus Station and North Bus Station, both conveniently located near central areas of Plovdiv.
The nearest airport is Plovdiv Airport (PDV), located about 15 km from the city. The centre can be reached by taxi or transfer in approximately 20–30 minutes. Alternatively, Sofia Airport (SOF) offers more international flights and is around 1.5–2 hours away by car.
